As the COVID-19 situation is relaxing all over Europe, Red Bull Erzbergrodeo enlarges its starting grid to the full maximum – and releases some more 300 starting spots for the World Xtreme Enduro Supreme, held from June 16th to 19th 2022. Competitors can look ahead to a sensational comeback of the world’s toughest Extreme Enduro!
It’s only 54 days until the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo 2022 will gather thousands of ambitious offroad motorcycle riders from all over the world at the massive stage of the Styrian Erzberg in the heart of Austria. Preparations for the World Xtreme Enduro Supreme, which will also be part of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship for the first time, are well on their way. After a 2-year break due to COVID-19, the 26th issue of the world’s unique motorcycle offroad festival is fervently awaited by competitors and fans.

Red Bull Erzbergrodeo Mastermind Karl Katoch explains why there are additional starting spots available for the first time in the events long history: “Due to the COVID-19 situation we had to narrow the starting grid down to 1200 riders last year. New racetracks, spectacular side events and extended spectator areas
„The Erzberg has changed its face a lot over the past two years, so we have added some new parts of the compound to our racetracks. The MITAS Rocket Ride will get an all-new, extremely spectacular layout for this year. BLAKLÄDER Iron Road Prologue remains the familiar combination of high-speed offroad racing and perfect choice of lines, but we’ve added some fresh parts of the ore mining traces. The spectacular action continues even apart from the racetracks. The AKRAPOVIC ONE-ON-ONE rider presentation, the all-new GASGAS TRIAL XTREME CHALLENGE and the notorious rider parties at the EGGER beer tent will once again turn the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo Arena into the pulsing epicentre of international motorcycle offroad racing during the 4 days long event.
The most breathtaking parts of the racetracks will see extended spectator areas in 2022, which can be reached comfortably by using the free-of-charge shuttle-bus-service on site. “Both the MITAS Rocket Ride and Red Bull Erzbergrodeo will have new spectator areas which offer an extremely close experience of the racing action. Especially on Sunday, riders will need the full support of their fans and we will make sure that they’ll get it loud and direct!”, says Red Bull Erzbergrodeo head of organisation Mark Schilling.

The Red Bull Erzbergrodeo offers all competitors a 100% money back guarantee in the event of a COVID-related cancellation of the event or a travel warning of the highest level when entering Austria. „If the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo 2022 has to be canceled by the organizer due to the Corona pandemic, every starter will receive the full entry fee without any deductions.
