GoldenTyre 216 FIM mousse GoldenTyre 240 Test Test Drive Erzberg Erzbergrodeo abrasion side traction grip match-winning

Due to GoldenTyre’s wide range of products, is not easy to keep an overview. We used the tried and tested: GoldenTyre 216 FIM in combination with a mousse tube. We also tested this combo with the lightweight KTM 200 EXC, using a smaller 120 rear tire. This resulted in more tracking stability, more agility and less abrasion - also owed to the less powerful 200cc engine.

We also mounted the 240 GoldenTyre rear tire on strong 4-stroke KTM motorcycles and combined it with the 216 FIM front tire. The Erzberg area served as the venue for this very last litmus test

GoldenTyre Erzberg Test Drive - The Results
Using a 120/18 mousse in the somewhat narrower 240 rear tire with longer knobs results in more lateral traction and less wear. But it also results in less grip as the mousse fills up more space in the smaller tire thus leading to more ‘pressure’ (corresponding to 0.8 - 1.0 bar)

=> This tire combo is perfectly suited for your next MX training sessions! <=
